You smell something odd on your walk home…a whiff of ozone, a sprinkling of ginger, perhaps a bit of nutmeg, it’s strong, but where it’s coming from you can’t place. You try to listen closely, you try to make out the sounds you think you can hear, but the snow makes everything unnervingly quietsome, as if the landscape was muffled. You can’t even hear your own footsteps…
And then you see it, circling mists rushing upon you…you panic, trip in the snow, one last thought passes through your mind before you slip into unconsciousness…
